Overview

On this tour, you can see many historical and beautiful places like Persian gardens and the splendid pavilions or palaces inside them, such as Golestan Palace, Chehel Sotun Palace, Fin Garden, Dowlat Abad Garden, and Eram Garden. You will also enjoy visiting museums like the unique Jewelry Museum in Tehran and the Music Museum in Isfahan. In the evenings, strolling in the cities would be truly pleasant and make you more familiar with the friendly people of Iran.

There are some historical complexes in different cities in Iran. Each one consists of different parts, like mosques and Persian bazaars. They are the impressive Nghsh-e Jahan square in Isfahan; the Vakil complex in Shiraz; and the Amir Chakhmaq complex in Yazd.

There are some really superb historical attractions near Shiraz, namely the magnificent Persepolis, Nqsh-e Rostam, and Pasargad.

In the “Grand Tour Iran” tour, you will also visit many lesser-known places; for example, a traditional workshop for fabric weaving in Yazd, the water museum in Yazd, and the traditional place for storing ice (Yakhchal). You will see a really old cypress in the city of Abarkuh from 2000 B.C. In Hamedan, you will visit the largest water cave, Ganjnameh, which is both a historical and a natural site.

On this trip, you will visit the world’s largest adobe citadel, which is a world heritage, and you will also visit the most beautiful garden in Iran, which is also a world heritage, in Mahan, and you will have a good time walking in this garden.

Arrival at Tehran airport, transfer to a sightseeing city tour of Tehran to visit the Archaeological Museum, Golestan Palace (world heritage),

O/N Tehran

Drive to Hamadan for sightseeing. In Hamadan, we will visit Ester and Mordkhay tombs (Jewish holy shrines), Alaviyan dome, and Hegmataneh hill. O/N Hamedan.

Excursion to Kermanshah for the day; en route, see the Anahita Temple at Kangavar, the Achaemenian inscriptions and reliefs at Bisotoun, and the Sassanian rock-relifs at Tagh-e-Bostan; then return to hotel O/N Hamadan.

Drive to Isfahan. En-route, visit Fin Garden, Sialk Hill, and Boroujerdi House in Kashan. O/N Isfahan.

In the morning we will visit Imam Square, the huge open square in the center of Isfahan with four monuments on four sides, including the Imam mosque, covered inside and outside with intricate turquoise tiles; the smaller Sheikh Lotfollah mosque contains some of the best mosaics from the 17th century; Ali Ghapoo Palace, which was the first skyscraper in Iran; and Isfahan Bazaar, where you can visit the workshop of artists who paint miniatures, sometimes on bone. In the afternoon, we will visit Si-o-Se Pol (thirty three) and Khajoo Bridges over Zayanderud, relax in one of the traditional tea houses, drink tea and smoke Persian water pipes. O/N Isfahan.

We will visit the Armenian quarter of Jolfa, Vank cathedral, Friday mosque, Shaking Minarets and Chehel Sotoun, also known as the Forty Column Palace, with its exquisite wall paintings. O/N Isfahan. 

Drive to Yazd, stopping en route to see the Friday Mosque at Naeen, then taking a half-day city tour of Yazd to see the Towers of Silence, the Fire Temple, and the Friday Mosque, O/N Yazd.

Drive to Kerman; half-day city tour of Ganj-Ali-Khan Complex (bath, caravanserai, and bazaar), Friday Mosque; overnight in Kerman.

We will visit the remains of Bam citadel, the magnificent Mausoleum of Shah Nematollah e Vali, a great Sufi, and the lovely Shahzadeh (Prince) Garden in Mahan. Kerman, O/N.

Drive to Shiraz, en-route visiting the Sassanian Palace at Sarvestan, O/N Shiraz.

Full day excursion to Persepolis, Naghsh-e-Rostam, and Pasargadae, O/N Shiraz.

Shiraz city tour: Eram Garden, Nasir-ol-Molk Mosque, Eram Garden, poets Hafez and Sa’di’s tombs, and bazaar; fly to Tehran; transfer to hotel; O/N Tehran.

Transfer to IKA airport and departure to your home country.
